Changing How We Relate to Each Other in the Face of Business

Deception is part of life and quite often we do it to ourselves, That is the hardest type of deception to recognize. However it’s when others take advantage of us where we will feel the most pain. It happens more times than people care to admit. They either don’t have enough awareness to pick up on the signals of deceit or they don’t know what to look for.

It’s not just the signs of deception people tend to overlook. Most people don’t know the signs of genuine interest, uncertainty, boredom, or excitement; important aspects of doing business.

The mind and body are redundant in their communications, yet not everyone sends out the same signals and while some have become adept at hiding these signals, they cannot completely mask internal conflicts or unconscious messages their neurology exhibits. Those having the awareness, who know what to look for, are able to pick up these subtle and real intention people have when they communicate.

For most, their awareness levels for nonverbal cues is quite low. They have no idea of the language the body projects.

They believe words are our primary source of communication. However, clinical studies done over the past 40 years have shown that up to 93% of communication is accomplished on a nonverbal level, where the true meaning of a communication is indicated not from what is said, but from how it is presented. The body never shuts up. It is always communicating and most have no idea this information exists.

How can you effectively do business if you don’t really know where a person is coming from? How can you persuade and influence others if you can’t tell what they are feeling? They are always telling you, it just may not be with words. Sometimes you have to listen with your eyes

If you don’t train yourself in these skills, vital information is being overlooked. All languages need to be taught and practiced. At Designed Thinking we can assist you to see the things you haven’t even been aware of, enabling you to understand communication in a whole new light and giving you a huge advantage in both business and personal interactions.

This is some of the information we presented to the U.S. Army’s Special Operations Command’s Counter Intelligence Service in becoming a human lie detector. Though the participants had attended many previous training’s, they were amazed at how much more they learned about body language and communications in general.

“Without a doubt, your workshop was one of the best investments our company has made. The training was informative, entertaining, and most importantly, the hands-on exercises made it easy for our staff to incorporate the information. I would recommend your workshops to everyone!”-Debra Eger, Corporate Asst, Smith Broadcasting Group

It has been estimated that 97% of all college students have never studied the art of nonverbal communication. They will go through life, just like everyone else, missing out on what is actually being said. Over 97% of the population is unaware of the communications skills you will learn in our workshops. Imagine the advantages your staff would have.

People can tell you anything, but their body will tell you the truth, because the body is the sounding board for the subconscious mind, and the subconscious mind is capable of expressing only what is true. If you know how to read these signs, think of how much time you can save, knowing whether or not people are truly interested in what you have to say, if they are telling you the truth, or if they will do a good job for you. .

This is not some airy-fairy psychobabble New Age BS. These are proven techniques, which is why the U.S. Army had us train their Counter Intelligence Service.  Now you too can learn this invaluable information. Stop wasting your efforts with the wrong people.  Learn to recognize those who are aligned with your interests.

  • If you need to know when people are interested in what you’re saying, you need this information
  • If you want to know if someone is telling the truth, you need this information
  • If you want to effectively persuade other people, you’ll take this training.

How someone shakes your hand can tell you how much he or she needs to be in control. Noticing eye movements can signal you to how a person accesses their thoughts. When you know what to look for you can even see signs of dishonesty. Every gesture can be a pathway into someone’s mind. Can you see what people are telling you?

Some of the most powerful communication tools on the planet are the ones people are not aware of. They are effective in sales, negotiations and interpersonal relationships. Those who you don’t get along with will tell you before they speak a single word. When people are lying, their non verbal communications will tell you so.

We specialize in workshops concerning human behavior. Allowing your employees to improve their communication skills to the next level.

If you’re listening to only seven percent of what is being said, how much do you think you are missing? Know for sure when others are congruent with their message and know what message your body is communicating to others.
